Finally!

After the application, the medical process, the invitation and 10 weeks of intense training, I am finally an official Peace Corps VOLUNTEER!!! Yay! I made it! And it´s awesome. :) The ceremony was nice - short and to the point, which I like. The party afterwards was fantastic. Then I got to spend the weekend on a beautiful beach that was pretty much paradise, just reading in a hammock, sipping margaritas and hanging out with some of the best friends I could have while here in Panamá. The last three days have pretty much been the best three days I´ve had. At least while I´ve been here, that´s for sure. It was wonderful. Now I´m in Penonome, checking my email and doing laundry before actually, finally and officially moving to my site this evening. My site. Cabuya Arriba. My new home. Where I will be for the next two years. Woot! I think I´m ready. Nervous, sad to have left my friends (but I´ll see them again in three months when we have an in-service training), but also excited. This is gonna be good! :)
