photos!

Ok, so a lot has happened since I last wrote. Well, I think. I went on my volunteer visit which was amazing! I loved it. I got to swim in a river and the Pacific Ocean! Oh how I love to swim. The mountains in Los Santos were beautiful and it was awesome. The volunteers house was small, but enough. She had electricity and running water (fyi, running water does not equal an indoor toilet). The town was pretty small, but the people were super friendly and awesome. I got to attend a fundraiser baile for the local kindergarten class which was so cute. We went to a hot springs which was way different than a hot springs in the states. It hasn´t been altered at all or built up so it´s just the original little spring. There´s no room to actually sit in the water, but that was fine because it was so freaking hot I could not put more than my feet in the water. Seriously, way too hot. Then we went swimming in the river and that water was perfect. We went to a birthday party that night and whoo! Piñatas here can be a slightly frightening experience! I have never seen such quick reation time from so many people. The next day we went out to another volunteers site on the coast just so I could see it and it was so nice and relaxing. I got to swim in the ocean and see millions and millions of stars. Take a nap in a hammock and just chill out. That girl´s house was a lot bigger, but also made of wood. Most of the houses in the city I´m staying in now are cement houses.

This week we had two girls leave PC Panama for different reasons. It was sad, they´re both awesome girls. One I considered to be like my best friend here, so I was pretty upset when she had to leave. But things will work out, of course.

Um, we find out our sites on Wednesday! I´m so excited. Most other people already know about where they´ll be and have received clues from our boss guy. Me, on the other hand, I know nothing. It sucks. But whatever, only a few more days until I find out. We´ll see where I end up living for the next two years!

Ok, I know there was more I wanted to write about but I finally remembered my camera so I´m going to try this photo uploading thing for you guys. The photos are random and I don´t know how many it will let me upload. But I guess this will just be a first taste for you all. :)
