So yea, I have a tad bit more time now so thought I´d elaborate on yesterday´s post. So yes, Cabuya Arriba will be more home for the next two years (Yes, it´s Cabuya, not Cayuba, go me). In case I wasn´t clear enough, some of the pictures I posted before are actually from my site. Specifically, the ones where I´m playing in the mud building a mud house, and also the ones of the view from the top of the mountains - both our to the ocean and of the valley I´m standing over. The view of the valley is actually precisely where I will be working most of the time, that is where the eco-tourism project is centered. So yes, I will come back to the states much thinner and in better shape than I am now, after climbing up those mountains most days. :p
As I think I said, I will have eletricity and running water. I will most likely live in the house where the current volunteer is, which is actually quite nice and large compared to the ¨typical¨PC house. And no, running water does not equal hot water, fyi. I have not had a hot shower since I left D.C. Some of the hotels in Panama City don´t even have hot water, so don´t get your hopes up if you come to visit. :p Oh yea, but that also means that no, I will not be building my own house. Sorry guys. :)
The next two weeks we´ll be traveling out of Santa Clara to our respective provinces. Next week everyone will be going to their province together for a week of culture training that is more specific for us. The following week we´ll be moving around again and having specific technical training, which means that those of us who will be working in the mountains will be at one site and those people working on the coast will be at another. I´m looking forward to it, it will be awesome to see more of my province and have more tailored training.
We had our second Spanish interview test today and I think I did really well. Well enough anyway. The levels go as follows: Novice - low, medium high; Intermediate - low, medium high; Advanced - low, medium, high. Right now I have been in the Novice-medium level. We have to be at Intermediate-medium to be sworn in as a volunteer. After today, I think I´m at least at Intermediate-low if not Intermediate-medium. But I´ll find out tomorrow.
Today is my host sister´s birthday. She´s four. We´re having a party on Saturday which should be fun. Then I leave on Sunday for my two weeks in Coclé! Woot! I´m excited. Today was also an awesome day. Me and Allie (another aspirante) and my host mom and sisters and a bunch of other kids and neighbors went on a walk to the river nearby. It was beautiful and a really fun walk through the woods, and there were some small waterfalls. The kids are awesome and so playful and silly. It was a good time. I love days like today. :)
So yea, all is good. I´ll probably post a lot more pictures when I return from the out-of-site training in two weeks. We also are hosting an eco-parade with the primary school in Santa Clara the week we come back, so that should be pretty fun. Much love to all!

YAY!! Happy birthday. I'll bet you're a little bit relieved you don't have to build your house (I sure would be). I heart you and miss you! :)
